Wall-Isle

WARNING :

It seems godot has some trouble with exporting 3D games in html5. Or maybe it's itch.io. Just wait a one or two minutes when the game starts and when you load your first level, mute the page if you don't like this horrible sound, and don't panic, it should be working fine :) Else you can get the windows/mac/linux versions or the godot-project that I uploaded on this page ;) Enjoy!

Default Buttons :

Left arrow key,
Right arrow key,
Escape (optional),
You can press Left and Right to click a button in the UI game or use your mouse

Install instructions

Play the game:

Download the zip corresponding to your OS, extract it and launch! The game should run :) Tell me if you have a bug or a crash!

Create a level:

With the godot-project you can create your own level. Just take a level, change the gridmap in it (every act the walls goes to the floor above) If the floor is not at the right size, change the scale.x, scale.y and scale.z of the cam_pivot. Save your scene and the level will be replaced by yours ;) You can also duplicate a level, replace the last number by 8, and when you win the level 7, if you press right to continue, your level will open!

I dig it, game's pretty solid and feels quite original gameplay wise, i really like the visuals with the minimalist backgrounds and the ninja/roller blade dude ( can only see him from the back so that's my guess :p, but he looks cool anyway ) it's quite fun to plan the most optimal route to not get walled in, couldn't complete it though since the later levels get a bit hard for me.

I'm not sure if this was due to the jam's theme or not, but the tiny issue i have is the "both directions" to do the wall smash, i feel having the action have it's own dedicated button could be better without the game loosing it's original gameplay idea imo.

Other than that it's really good, Bonus for having your game open to fan made levels that's cool :)

Thank you! I didn't expect someone playing my game so mutch time after the jam's end. I added a button to smash recently, I think it's enter or space (you can change it in the options anyway ;) )

Very happy to know you liked :D

Haha well you never know when a comment's gonna pop up i guess XD

Cool that you added a dedicated button, it's really the only thing i had a small issue with upon trying, and even then the game is still quite playable with the initial controls :)
